Full quintet arrangement of “What Is This Thing Called Love”.

This arrangement is a mixture of different versions that J.J. Johnson recorded of “What Is This Thing Called Love”. The arrangement includes Johnson’s original contrafact “Flat Back” with the groovy reharmonized A-sections, as known from the famous version of “What Is This Thing Called Love” by Cannonball Adderley from “At The Lighthouse”.

Please let me know (tobias@stavngaard.dk) if you wish to acquire a horn part for tenor saxophone instead of the 2nd trombone, as this can easily be provided.

Buyer will receive a non-transposed score and individual parts for:

  • 2 Tenor trombones in C (bass clef)

  • Piano

  • Double Bass

  • Drum Set
