I am very honored to have won the 2nd prize in the Nordic Composer Contest 2023 for Nordic big band composers under 30 years of age.

The jury found that my piece “Imagining the Life of the Last Dodo” was the 2nd best out of a total of 19 submissions from five different countries.

More than just a trombonist

My daily work includes a lot of exciting tasks. I do not only get to play music - I also write it, arrange it, conduct it and talk to students about it. I love it!

  • I received my bachelor’s degree as a trombone player in 2022, and I am currently studying a master’s degree.

    My work as a trombonist is mainly focused on being a studio musician, jazz trombone soloist and ensemble player.

  • I am currently studying a master’s degree in composition at the Danish National Academy of Music (SDMK).

    In 2023 I won the 2nd prize in the Nordic Composer Contest out of a total of 19 submissions.

  • Within the last years, I have frequently been hired by artists to arrange their original compositions.

    In addition, I have made several transcriptions and arrangements for projects in my own name.

  • I am working more and more as a conductor in front of big bands and other kinds of jazz ensembles.

    My experience as an instructor and mediator in music comes from working with my own bands over the past three years.

  • I have taught several students on all levels over the past few years.

    I am happy to give lessons in trombone playing, improvising, ear training, music theory, band leadership, arranging, composing and music notation.
